Pre-compute object lengths before usage in for loops.
Speeds up the calculating and rendering of link hints without any obvious defects.
Benchmarked on a netbook with a bunch of tabs open, displaying link hints on the bbc news homepage goes from 900ms to 600ms, give or take.
