update.sh: prevent overwriting UPSTREAM_BRANCH.
UPSTREAM_BRANCH was being used both as a loop variable name and name
for the upstream branch for HOMEBREW_REPOSITORY. This meant that the
variable names were overwritten which prevented update.
Closes #693.
